Nude gardening is very common for Bertus Post. He also did gardening when he was still working in the landscaping, and he often doesn’t wear clothes. “It’s just nice to be bare in your. Unrestrained. Sometimes I don’t even realize that I don’t wear any clothes.”

Bertus has a fixed place at Naturist campsite Dwingelderhof. With his many years of experience, he often helps with the maintenance of the garden. If the weather permits, it will be exposed. “Pruning, weeding, weeding. In the winter I am also active here, then the trees and shrubs are sawn. It always goes on.”

The first Saturday of May was named International Day of Nude Gardening. According to Bertus, working in nature and naturism is a logical combination. He also understands that an international day has been created to promote that. But others insist to follow his example, he would never do. “You don’t have to push someone in a direction. It has to come from yourself.”

Some tips for the aspiring nude gardener. “You have to think about your body. You have to protect it against the sun, absolutely. And that you don’t confront your environment if they didn’t want it.”

And if necessary, just put on clothes. “It depends on what your garden looks like. If spines grow in that garden, it is not wise to expose that. But if you are just a bit weeding then it can soon be possible.”
