Trump: “War between Israel and Hamas would never have broken out if I were still president” | Abroad

Former American president Donald Trump (77) has claimed in an interview that the conflict between the Palestinian terror group Hamas and Israel would never have erupted if he had still been president. “They wouldn’t have done that to me, I guarantee you that. They did this because they have no respect for (current president, ed.) Biden,” Trump said.

Trump made the remarkable statements in a telephone interview with ‘Fox & Friends’, a news program on the conservative channel Fox News. “It never would have happened if I was still president,” Trump said of the war in Gaza. “Iran was broke, it had no money for Hamas and Hezbollah,” he said. The ex-president was referring to reports that Iran would finance the two terrorist groups.

“The attack on Israel, and the country’s counterattack, would never have happened if I were president,” Trump reiterated. “They wouldn’t have done that to me, I guarantee you that.” According to the ex-president, the conflict between Israel and Hamas broke out because both parties have no respect for current American President Joe Biden (81).

“Biden’s Guilt”

Asked whether Trump supports Israel’s violent approach in Gaza, he replied: “You have to solve the problem after such a horrible invasion.” Trump also emphasized that Biden is “abandoning” Israel. “It is mainly the fascists and communists around him who make the decisions,” he sneered.

Finally, the Republican presidential candidate claimed that the war between Russia and Ukraine had never broken out under his presidency, something he has said several times in the past. “Russia would never have attacked Ukraine, everyone knows that. It’s all Biden’s fault,” he said.

According to Trump, the people of Gaza and Ukraine would have “a great life” if he were still in power. “But instead we are now entering World War III,” he concluded.
