If you believe JD vance, Donald Trump wants to “full transparency” in Fall of the sex dealer Jeffrey Epstein. If this were actually the case, we already knew what the Epstein files about the president and other statements that were abused by the billionaire, the minor girl.
Vance accuses political opponent
Instead, the government – via Vance – tries to distract the Americans’ attention from Trump’s relationship with Epstein and instead points to “Left Politicians and Leftists”.
“We know that Jeffrey Epstein had many connections to left -wing politicians and left -wing billionaires,” said Vance on Sunday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. “President Trump has now demanded full transparency, and yet the Democrats attack him-but not the bidet government, which has not done anything for four years.”
However, there can be no question of “full of transparency”: Trump and his government have repeatedly avoided demands for the publication of the files. Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed in February that Epstein’s notorious customer list was “right now on my desk for testing”. But last month the Ministry of Justice published a memo in which after a “thorough review” there was no evidence of a stressful “list of customers”.
Distraction instead of education
Therefore, the government relies on a PR strategy from distraction and defense. “Democratic billionaires and democratic politicians were constantly on Epstein’s island,” accused Vance at Fox News. “Who knows what they did there.”
In fact, Epstein had connections to ex-President Bill Clinton and billionaire Bill Gates as well as the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Prince Andrew. In 2019, after Epstein’s arrest for human trafficking with minors, Clinton had a spokesman explained that he knew nothing about the “terrible crimes” for which Epstein was convicted in Florida or the charges in New York.
An Epstein victim said that Epstein said to her that Clinton liked “young … girls”.
Dispute over alleged island visits
“”[Epstein] Once said that Clinton likes her young – based on girls, ”said Johanna Sjoberg in 2016 under oath.
However, there is no evidence that Clinton Epstein’s private island visited-despite Trump’s latest claim that the ex-president was “28 times” there.
An easy way to create clarity would be the publication of the Epstein files with blackened victim names. But Trump could want to avoid this – in view of his previously close relationship with Epstein and report that he was mentioned several times in the files.
Trump’s earlier proximity to Epstein
In conversations with author Michael Wolff, Epstein once described himself as “Donald’s closest friend over 10 years”.
Trump himself also described Epstein in 2002 as a friend: “I have known Jeff for 15 years. Great guy. It is a lot of fun to be with him. It even means that he likes beautiful women as well – and many of them are more on the younger side.”
Maria Farmer, a former Epstein employee, said she warned the police in 1996 and 2006 against Trump’s relationship with Epstein.
Public skepticism is growing
In 2019 – after Epstein’s arrest by the FBI – Trump, on the other hand, said: “I was not a fan of him, I can say that”, and claimed that they were no friends for 15 years.
Most Americans obviously do not be fooled by the distraction attempts. According to a recent survey of the umass at the tank, 70 % of the respondents believe that Trump is poorly dealing with the Epstein case, and 63 % believe that the government holds back important information.
