Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is resigning. The American president did not make it clear what he based his announcement on. Starmer has been under fire in the United Kingdom for some time. However, there has been no response to the statement or confirmation from Downing Street.

Trump wrote: “Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He has failed badly in two very important areas: immigration and energy (open up North Sea oil drilling!). I wish him the best! President DJT.”
On Saturday, the British newspaper The Observer wrote that Starmer is expected to resign on Monday. He would have come to the conclusion that his position is untenable. A growing number of party members want Starmer to make way for Andy Burnham, the mayor of Manchester who won a parliamentary by-election in the Makerfield district this week.
