Heavy vehicles weighing more than 30 tons will be able to circulate again on the C-25 between Sant Sadurní de Osormort and Espinelves starting on Saturday, as reported by the Department of Territory. The passage of these vehicles was restricted for road safety reasons in the Vic direction last Monday, following the detection of a pathology in the structure of a viaduct.

As explained by the Government, all traffic will be carried on the road towards Girona to be able to work on the repair of this viaduct. In this way, the circulation restriction on heavy vehicles will be eliminated. With this action, only special transports with a width greater than four meters in both directions of circulation will be affected. These special transports may also circulate on the section, but will require special accompaniment by Mossos d’Esquadra traffic agents.

The details and programming of the operation to divert all traffic along the road towards Girona were finalized in a meeting this Thursday between those responsible for the Interior and Territory ministries.
