A truck and several trailers are believed to have been set on fire in Berlin-Marzahn. A car sharing car caught fire in Neukölln.

At around 2 a.m., a parked car-sharing vehicle caught fire on the Columbiadamm opposite the Columbiabad in Neukölln in the front right-hand area. The police who arrived first extinguished the fire with their own resources. Arson is currently suspected in the case.

There were other fires in Marzahn: As the Berlin police announced on Saturday, residents noticed a burning smell on Saturday night and discovered a burning car trailer in Wörlitzer Strasse. The fire brigade was on site and put out the fire, so the trailer burned out completely. A car parked next to it was also damaged by the heat of the flames.

On the way to the scene of the fire, police officers who were called noticed another burning trailer: A truck trailer was on fire in Märkische Allee near Wittenberger Strasse. The police put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. During the extinguishing work, a passer-by pointed out the officers to a burning truck on the opposite side of the street. The police put out the fire themselves.

Because of the temporal and local proximity of the fires in Marzahn, a possible connection is now being examined. A fire department of the LKA started their investigation.
