There are currently explosive rumors surrounding Borussia Dortmund’s storm jewel Youssoufa Moukoko: Is the 18-year-old dissatisfied with his reserve role and disappointed with coach Edin Terzic? The BVB coach reacts calmly to the speculation.
“I can only judge what I see. I don’t see any dissatisfaction or impatience. Of course I see a great desire and a great goal that he wants to play a lot, even from the start. But the dissatisfaction was attributed to him and that’s what happened “Not from us,” Terzic said on Tuesday at the press conference before the DFB Cup game against 1899 Hoffenheim, referring to Moukoko.
“Bild” recently wrote that the attacker was “extremely angry and disappointed” about his current situation and Terzic’s treatment of him.
In BVB’s striker hierarchy, Moukoko is currently only number three behind Niclas Füllkrug and Sébastien Haller. Terzic only allowed him 110 minutes of action in 2023/2024. Moukoko scored two goals.
“I find him very hard-working. Unfortunately, he came back from the national team injured, but he was able to gain self-confidence with his three goals. Our relationship continues to be very close, very honest, very open and we are happy that we can work together,” said Terzic.
BVB ready to talk to Youssoufa Moukoko?
Moukoko’s moment at BVB could come in January at the latest. if Haller is missing due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations. Against this background, a loan for the youngster should not be an issue for the Black and Yellows.
But: BVB should not be averse to selling Moukokos, which would then also bring money into the coffers for a successor. Most recently it was said that 35 to 40 million euros would be needed to get the noble reservist out of Dortmund.
