The pop icon is a big fan of Trent Reznor and the Nine Inch Nails. Even her new album Mayhem was partially inspired by the band.

On March 12, Lady Gaga was a guest in the “Siriusxm” radio show by Howard Stern and told, among other things, about her encounters with Trent Reznor. However, the singer could not reveal many details about the first meeting. She admitted: “I forgot for the first time. I think I will pass out every time I am in his presence. He is an amazing musician. ” However, she does not feel intimidated by the Nine-Inch-Nails front man. She would be “only really excited, enthusiastic, calm.”
The band’s song “Closer” of the band has probably left a particularly big impression on the 38-year-old. When star played the track in his show and asked why she loved the song so much, she provided a clear answer: “Because it is so good!” “Closer” was also an important source of inspiration when working on her new album Mayhem.

Her new album Mayhem was released on March 7, 2025. The 14 songs mark a personal and artistic rebirth of the singer. At its core, the plate is about hugging and discovering the broken parts of themselves how they come together and form something unexpected and beautiful. The album reflects this concept with its diverse range of sound and its thematic layers by combining elements of chaos, defiance and vulnerability to a coherent artistic statement.
News will soon also be due to the Nine Inch Nails. In summer, the band goes to the big “Peel It Back Tour”.
