Transfer PEC player Van den Belt to Feyenoord seems off the track: ‘Nothing concrete’ | Deadline Day

It seems that Thomas van den Belt (21) will remain with PEC Zwolle despite the interest of Feyenoord. According to the club, nothing concrete will play from Feyenoord towards PEC around the midfielder at the end of the afternoon.

Van den Belt himself indicated that he would like to go to Feyenoord and hope that his transfer will be completed on the last day of the transfer market. PEC Zwolle would like to keep the Kampenaar in the battle for promotion to the premier league. Football clubs have until midnight tonight to complete transfers.

Marcel Boudesteyn, technical director of PEC Zwolle, previously indicated that the club does not want to sell Van den Belt during the winter break in the battle for promotion. The midfielder is still hoping for a transfer. “In the end, I think everything has a price,” he says. ,,But I dare not say exactly how it stands, I have left that to others. It is ultimately up to the clubs.”

Exciting day

Feyenoord would like to bring in the midfielder and wants to make one last attempt on deadline day. Van den Belt repeated once again that he likes to go to Rotterdam. “Everyone knows where I am. I hope it will be done tomorrow”, he said late on Monday evening after the victory at Roda JC (1-2), in which he scored his tenth goal of the season.

After the match, he was sung by the Zwolse uitvak. A goodbye? “I don’t know, but I feel very flattered by Feyenoord’s interest. We’ll be back late, so let’s get some sleep first and then we’ll see how things are in the morning. It will be an exciting day.”
