The winter transfer phase is underway and the German clubs are in the middle of it. Rumors and fixed changes from the world of football can be found here.

With the beginning of 2025, the transfer window in the Bundesliga and other European leagues will also open. In Germany the transfer period ends on February 3rd. After that, players can still move abroad, provided the leagues there have a later transfer deadline.

Which clubs are most in need of reinforcements, what is FC Bayern doing and what is the situation at the top European clubs? These and many other questions will be answered this transfer winter. At t-online you can find an overview of the most important rumors and changes from Germany and the world.

With twelve goals after 17 games, Budu Zividadze leads the top scorer list in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Karlsruher SC striker’s top performances have not gone unnoticed by the first division clubs. As the TV station Geo Team from Zividadze’s home country of Georgia reports, the attacker is about to move to 1. FC Heidenheim.

He had recently avoided a clear commitment to the KSC. “I have a contract until the summer, I want to stay until then to help the team,” the 30-year-old said in mid-December. But then he restricted it: “After that, anything is possible, but that’s the case in winter too. In football you never know.” Due to the contract expiring after the season, a winter transfer would be the last opportunity for Karlsruhe to collect a transfer fee.

According to media reports, FC Bayern immediately re-lents its U21 national player Frans Krätzig after his end at VfB Stuttgart. According to the pay channel Sky and the “Bild” newspaper, the 21-year-old defender will play for 1. FC Heidenheim for the rest of the season.

The German champions Bayer Leverkusen under coach Xabi Alonso have strengthened themselves with the Argentine talent Alejo Sarco. The 18-year-old center forward is moving from Argentine champions CA Vélez Sarsfield to the Bundesliga club with immediate effect and will receive a contract until 2029. Sarco is “a promise for the future,” said Leverkusen’s sports director Simon Rolfes.

Sarco has already played 20 games for the Argentina U17 national team, scoring five goals. In Leverkusen, the youngster will face top-class competition in the middle of the attack such as Victor Boniface and Patrik Schick.

AC Milan are apparently interested in Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna. According to the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport”, the club is urgently looking for reinforcements during the winter break after Milan are currently only eighth in Serie A. Reyna’s advisor Jorge Mendes should push the deal forward.

For Reyna, a move to Milan would probably be a chance for more playing time. The 2026 World Cup in the USA is coming up, and as his country’s hope, he needs regular appearances. At BVB, the injury-prone professional has only played six games in the current Bundesliga season, including only once in the starting line-up.

Dortmund also seems willing to talk: the club could act with an offer between 10 and 15 million euros. Milan wanted to guide Reyna to Italy as early as 2023, but the deal fell through.

FC St. Pauli has presented its second winter signing. Noah Weißhaupt is moving from SC Freiburg to Hamburg on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old winger should help the “Kiezkicker” stay in the league in the Bundesliga.
