Transfer hammer? BVB is probably planning player swaps

There has been speculation for months about Jadon Sancho’s possible return to Borussia Dortmund. Due to the farewell rumors surrounding BVB professional Donyell Malen, poker around the Englishman could now pick up speed again.

According to the “Bild” newspaper, there could be a spectacular swap deal between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund. Accordingly, Sancho is definitely interested in returning to BVB. Malen is also aiming for a move to the Premier League and ManUnited is quite impressed with the Dutchman.

The exchange could take place as early as winter. However, the tabloid left it open to what extent which player would be used as a bargaining chip. Loan transactions are also possible.

The report only shows that BVB is demanding 30 million euros for Malen, whose contract with the Revierklub runs until 2026.

“Corriere dello Sport” recently reported that Manchester United would also be willing to sell Sancho for 30 million euros. According to the Mirror, the Red Devils are demanding 57 million euros for the winger.

At BVB, Sancho would probably have to make salary cuts. He would certainly not collect the 14 million euros that he is supposed to earn in Manchester at his former club.

However, sports director Sebastian Kehl recently emphasized that Dortmund is not currently involved in a return campaign. A transfer is “not an issue at all.”

Malen has been associated with a farewell to BVB for a few weeks now. The 24-year-old allegedly wants to leave the Black and Yellows and those responsible are ready to talk.

According to the report, Malen is still estranged from his Dortmund teammates even after around a year and a half. He is also said to be dissatisfied that coach Edin Terzic mostly deploys him on the unpopular right offensive wing instead of centrally or on the left.

Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven was also recently considered a possible Malen successor.
