Once again, Thomas Müller wants to win a big title with Bayern. His trainer reveals what the veteran is now concerned with.
Thomas Müller’s career at the German record champion is coming to an end. However, the club veteran should still have one concern: “His only wish is that we win this club World Cup. That is the only focus,” said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany after the championship celebration at Munich’s Marienplatz.
National player Joshua Kimmich not only sees a sporting challenge in the tournament, but also a special task towards Müller: “Of course you don’t want a group game to be his last game. We give everything that will be an important game.” With another title, Müller would overtake his former teammate Toni Kroos as the most successful title collector.
Müller himself was the focus again at the master celebration at the weekend. Thousands of fans cheered the 35-year-old, who said goodbye to FC Bayern in summer after a quarter of a century. “Of course I enjoyed all the special moments, but if we have two weeks of vacation now, I have time to let everything sink,” said Müller.
