The woman was on the wrong side of a railway crossing for pedestrians on Stationsweg, and was dragged along on the side of a passing train. Several people saw the accident happen. They can use victim assistance, the police say.
The identity of women is still unknown. The police are investigating the accident. There are currently fewer trains between Haarlem, Uitgeest and Alkmaar and between Amsterdam and Alkmaar. The delay is expected to last until 9.15 pm.
