Emma Hinze and Franziska Brauße won two more gold medals for the German Cyclists’ Association (BDR) at the European Track Cycling Championships in Grenchen, Switzerland.

Hinze defended her title won in 2022 at the European Championships in the non-Olympic 500-meter time trial. The woman from Cottbus won in 32.947 seconds, almost half a second ahead of time trial world champion Taky Marie Kouame from France. Third place went to Hetty van den Wouw from the Netherlands. For Hinze it was the second gold medal after winning the European Championships on Wednesday in the team sprint. Pauline Grabosch from Cottbus was fifth.

In the 3,000 meter individual pursuit, Franziska Brausse from Eningen also won the European title after winning the World Championships last year. The team Olympic champion from Tokyo won the final in 3:20.613 minutes by a superior margin against Brit Josie Knight (3:23.613). Mieke Kröger from Bielefeld secured the bronze medal. The 2022 European champion prevailed in the small final in 3:24.895 minutes ahead of Brit Anna Morris.
