Coşkun Şahinkaya, uncle of Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan, passed away.
In the statement made by Trabzonspor, it was stated that Coşkun Şahinkaya, one of the former players and former managers of the claret-blue team, passed away and said, “May God have mercy on Coşkun Şahinkaya, we express our condolences to his grieving family, loved ones and our community.” The statement was included.
Born in Trabzon on January 1, 1942, Coşkun Şahinkaya first started playing for İdmangücü and then was transferred to Ankaragücü.
After the establishment of Trabzonspor, Şahinkaya played for the claret-blue team for three seasons. Şahinkaya, who was also one of the first captains of the team, also played for the Youth and Ordu National Teams.
After quitting football, Coşkun Şahinkaya also served as a board member of Trabzonspor.
