The streaming service Netflix has announced the release date for the Tour de France 2022 documentary.
In a trailer released on Wednesday, Netflix announced that the eight-part series “Tour de France: Unchained” will be released on June 8th.
For the documentary series, eight teams were accompanied on the last tour, including the German team Bora-hansgrohe and Jumbo-Visma, for which the victorious Dane Jonas Vingegaard drives.
Cycling is hoping for a similar effect from the series as Formula 1 experienced with “Drive to survive”. According to a survey by Nelson Sports, the racing series has gained 73 million fans worldwide in 2021 alone.
