The final tournament for the BBL Cup will take place in Munich from 2026. The German basketball champions Bayern Munich announced this on Monday and the Top Four will be played on February 21st and 22nd in the SAP Garden.
In addition to Bayern, Bamberg Baskets, Alba Berlin and EWE Baskets Oldenburg are there.
The final tournament will also be played in the Munich Arena in 2027 and 2028, even if Bayern do not qualify. Until now, one of the four participants had always hosted the final weekend.
The Basketball Bundesliga had initially planned to award the final tournament to Düsseldorf. However, the BBL clubs had announced that they did not want to play there and preferred Munich.
