The ten most valuable automotive brands in the world together achieve a total brand value of 224.1 billion US dollars, recording an average of seven percent growth compared to 2024.
The ranking is created in a volatile market environment characterized by global trade tensions and the transition to electromobility. While some established premium brands are experiencing losses in value, other manufacturers are benefiting from the increasing demand for sustainable mobility solutions and innovative technologies.
The study not only measures the financial value of the brands, but also takes into account their cultural impact, relevance in consumers’ lives and ability to innovate. Kantar highlights that more consumers than ever are motivated by sustainability. Honda opens the top 10 ranking with a brand value of $7.7 billion. The Japanese car manufacturer recorded a ten percent loss in value compared to 2024. Despite the decline, Honda remains one of the top ten most valuable car brands in the world.

9th place: Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki has a brand value of $8.3 billion. There is no comparative data for the previous year for the Indian company. The brand benefits from the growing automobile market in India.

8th place: Ford
The American automobile company Ford has a brand value of 9.6 billion US dollars. The company was able to achieve moderate growth of three percent compared to the previous year. Ford is thus demonstrating stable development in a challenging market environment.

Porsche has a brand value of $13.4 billion. The Stuttgart sports car brand had to cope with the greatest loss in value in the top 10 ranking with a decline of 20 percent. Nevertheless, Porsche remains among the most valuable automobile brands.

6th place: BYD
Chinese electric car maker BYD has a brand value of $14.4 billion. With 44 percent growth, BYD leads the list in terms of value growth. The company benefits from global demand for affordable electric vehicles.

5th place: Ferrari
Ferrari has a brand value of $14.5 billion. The Italian sports car manufacturer recorded the second best growth at 39 percent. The brand value reflects the exclusivity and the status as an investment object.

4th place: BMW
The Bavarian car manufacturer BMW has a brand value of 20.1 billion US dollars. With growth of 13 percent, BMW is showing positive development. The brand is now approaching the value of Mercedes-Benz.

3rd place: Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz has a brand value of $20.8 billion. The German premium brand suffered a loss in value of nine percent. Despite the decline, Mercedes-Benz remains in third place.

2nd place: Toyota
The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has a brand value of 29.3 billion US dollars. The company recorded a decline of three percent compared to 2024. Toyota still remains the second most valuable car brand worldwide.

1st place: Tesla
With a brand value of over 86 billion US dollars, Tesla once again leads the ranking. The electric car manufacturer increased its value by 20 percent compared to the previous year. The rating is therefore far above all other automobile brands in the ranking.
