The rules for campers and caravans often differ. The ANWB states that the Netherlands is rich in places where you can spend the night in your camper. You can find it mainly at campsites, marinas and recreation parks. The organization does indicate that you can often only stay here for a short time. Usually a maximum of three days and sometimes even just 24 or 48 hours applies.
In our country it is often not allowed to stand on a motorhome with a caravan, because it concerns places that are specifically designed for campers. For example, cars with caravan are longer and campers have all kinds of facilities on board so that they can stand in a place for longer without needing extras.
Toll roads, taxes, insurance, parking; Abroad it is often very different from us. In Germany, for example, the caravan can stand by the street for two weeks. In many countries you can also spend the night in an average parking lot. This is allowed, for example, in Sweden, where there are hardly any special parking spaces for campers.
