Toni Vilander45, has been elected as the chairman of AKK-Motorsport, the Finnish umbrella organization of motor sports, for the 2026–27 season.
Vilander is a successful racing driver and has become known to a larger audience as an F1 expert for MTV and Viaplay.
Vilander’s theme in the chairman’s race was “motorsport first”. According to AKK, Vilander wants to develop the association’s management model and decision-making and strengthen hobbies, club and youth activities.
– I feel that one of my most important tasks is to reduce the gap between AKK and the national sports field. I want to clarify decision-making and bring transparency and a spirit of cooperation. Motorsport is a community that is built together, Vilander said in the press release.
Vilander is Ferrari’s long-time racing driver. In his career, he has won, among other things, the Le Mans 24 Hours race twice.
