In 2025 we celebrate that Zoetermeer was liberated by the Canadians eighty years ago. This is also central during the old -timer day. That is why not only ‘normal’ will roll on 17 May Oldies Through the Dorpsstraat, but you also admire military vehicles and classics from the 1940s.
The competition d’Elégance
As usual, the old -timer day starts with a tour of approximately 100 kilometers. At 9 a.m., 220 classics roar out the Dorpsstraat for a road trip along the most beautiful roads around Zoetermeer. Around 12.30 the proud owners return and the D’Elégance competition starts. Then the cars are showing off in the Dorpsstraat, on the Pilatusdam and Nicolaasplein. A professional jury assesses the cars and reaches different prizes at 4.30 pm on the square halfway the Dorpsstraat.
For young and old
Unfortunately you can no longer sign up as a participant for Oldtimerdag 2025, but strolling and drooling with all those shiny old -timers is allowed. The event attracts thousands of people every year and that is not just because of those old mopeds. There are inflatables for the children, extensive terraces and live music. In short: it is a nice outing for young and old.
