“These are two foundations that are closely linked,” says volunteer Suzanne van Dongen of Theater & Filmhuis De Beun. Both the theater and swimming pool in Heiloo seemed to disappear last year after one bankruptcy from the operator.
Future the Baafje still uncertain
But through efforts of residents of the village, both the theater and swimming pool were retained. The Restart from Theater De Beun So far a hit, there are many more visitors than expected. The pool is not yet successful at the moment.
It turns out to be difficult to get the Baafje profitable to get. Already Martijn and Marloes Veldheer have been trying to More life in the brewery to get. They want to tackle the hospitality industry and organize more on the site.
Yet the future of the Baafje still seems insecure and that is why De Beun wants to support them by raising money.
