The winter transfer phase is underway and the German clubs are in the middle of it. Rumors and fixed changes from the world of football can be found here.
With the beginning of 2025, the transfer window opened in the Bundesliga and other European leagues. In Germany the transfer period ends on February 3rd. Players can then move abroad if the leagues there have a later transfer deadline.
Which clubs are most in need of reinforcements, what is FC Bayern doing and what is the situation at the top European clubs? These and many other questions will be answered this transfer winter. At t-online you can find an overview of the most important guesses and changes from Germany and the world.
According to media reports, Tim Lemperle will leave 1. FC Köln in the summer at the latest. As reported by “Kicker” and the pay-TV broadcaster Sky, the U21 national player is heading to TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. It is said that Lemperle has already signed with the Kraichgauer team.
TSG and Cologne are currently negotiating whether the 22-year-old might move up a level in the winter. The reason: Second division team Cologne would then generate a transfer fee for Lemperle. If he leaves the “Domstädter” again in the summer, he would be free of charge. Because: Lemperle’s contract expires in June.
It was already clear at the end of last year that the striker would not extend his working paper. The departure of Cologne’s homegrown player hits the club hard. Lemperle achieved his breakthrough this season. He scored eight goals in the league.
This change would be a real hammer. The two well-informed transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein (The Atheltic) report that Borussia Dortmund are said to have inquired about Marcus Rashford. The striker currently only plays a minor role at Manchester United since Ruben Amorim took over as the new coach. However, Rashford’s contract with United runs until 2028.
So you still want to move to Germany? According to Ornstein, BVB would like to loan Rashford until the summer. Both AC Milan and Juventus Turin are also said to be interested in the English international striker.
Jens Petter Hauge’s loan to FK Bodö/Glimt was a success for Eintracht Frankfurt. Since the Norwegian league is based on the calendar year, Hauge has been on loan to Bodö/Glimt for a year since January 2024. In 28 league games, the winger scored eight goals and prepared five more. He was also involved in a total of seven goals in twelve games in the Champions League qualification and the Europa League.
Nevertheless, Bodö/Glimt let the purchase option, which according to media reports is at 5.5 million euros, pass. Hauge is back in Frankfurt. Eintracht sports director Timmo Hardung now told the “Frankfurter Rundschau”: “There was an offer on the table. But that was completely below our expectations and also below the price that was discussed last winter. That’s not something we’re seriously negotiating about can.”
