He had recently been out for months with a long-term injury. Now Tim Kleindienst is out again. Gladbach’s coach Eugen Polanski announces details.
Borussia Mönchengladbach will once again be without Tim Kleindienst. The striker will miss the away game at FSV Mainz 05 on Friday (from 8:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online) due to persistent knee problems. Gladbach’s coach Eugen Polanski confirmed this on Thursday.
“His operated knee has shown a reaction. Now we have to wait for a few tests to see how long it is,” said Polanski two days after the cup exit against FC St. Pauli. The national player was recently used as a substitute three times. Polanski wanted to bring him back step by step.
Kleindienst had fought his way back for months after a meniscus operation and was aiming for a comeback in the DFB team. In March, he recently said, he wanted to be competitive there again. But now there was initially a setback.
