Till Lindemann: Activists announce protests at solo concerts

Activists gather in front of the Quarterback Arena in Leipzig under the motto “No stage for Till Lindemann!”

Around 12,000 fans will flock to Till Lindemann’s concert in Leipzig on November 8th. The singer will start his solo tour there in the Quarterback Immobilien Arena. But there will probably also be some demonstrators mixed in with the supporters. The feminist group “FemStreik” now announces this in an Instagram post.

Since May 2023, Rammstein and especially their singer have been confronted with serious allegations. Several women accused Lindemann of sexual abuse. Although the Berlin public prosecutor’s office dropped the case against Lindemann due to a lack of evidence, activists nationwide are calling for his solo concerts to be canceled.

The feminist group “FemStreik” also announced a rally in Leipzig via an Instagram post. Under the motto “No stage for Till Lindemann!”, the activists want to officially show solidarity with the women who made the allegations against the musician in the past. The group did contact the organizers to demand that the concert be canceled immediately, but they had no reaction. That’s why “FemStreik” wants to gather in front of the event location from 6 p.m. – the time of entry and thus the arrival of visitors.

And in Berlin, too, a group of activists, journalists and representatives of the cultural sector are calling for this in an open letter a general ban on Lindemann’s solo concerts. They show solidarity with the protests of the “No Rammstein in Berlin” alliance. “These concerts are not safe places and must therefore be stopped,” is the key message of the letter. In her opinion, there is still “the possibility that the system of recruitment and abuse will continue.”

Till Lindemann recently released his solo album ZUNGE. On his tour he will be on stage in several German cities – including Düsseldorf, Bamberg, Frankfurt am Main and Kassel – as well as abroad.
