Eppu Normaali announced on October 23 that he will end his career in 2026.
The band is touring summer festival gigs, in addition to which the band will be seen at two farewell gigs in Helsinki and Tampere.
Tickets for the farewell concerts held at the Bolt Arena and Ratina Stadium went on sale on Tuesday, October 28 at exactly 9 o’clock.
Just a few minutes after ticket sales start Lippu.fi– online store showed that only single tickets are available for the concerts. So the tickets sold out in minutes.
At the same time, it went on sale also tickets for the acoustic concert hall tour. Tickets for the concert hall tour also went like hot stones, and at 9:30 a.m. only individual tickets were available for each location. The band will perform in 13 different locations next spring.
The band’s soloist Martti Syrjä told Iltalehte that he was looking forward to the last gigs.
– We have been lucky enough to say in recent years that for a moment, now we are pulling better than last year and the year before was also pulling better than the year before. The development has been great all along.
– Yes, there is still a year to go and next summer. In winter, the concert hall tours start, which have always been very nice, because you get to play as much and as long as possible. I’m looking forward to it and it will be great, once again, Syrjä said.
