TKMS is said to modernize six federal marine for more than 800 million euros.
The Thyssenkrupp naval subsidiary now signed a corresponding order of ten years with the procurement office of Bundeswehr. It is one of the largest service contracts in the company’s history, explained TKMS in Kiel.
As a general contractor, TKMS will provide comprehensive modernization and support services for the six German submarines of Type 212a. The contract includes a modernization of the central systems on board, in particular the navigation system and the management and weapon use system on the four older boats of the first series of order.
The Thyssenkrupp share temporarily notes 0.20 percent by Xetra at 9.03 euros.
