Just one small thing, and the food tastes better immediately. Food supplier Mari Moilanen reveals his own potato chips.

Frozen french fries + cheese

As such, frozen French fries are an everyday thing. But that changes when you grate some tasty cheese on top of the finished french fries.

Good cheeses are, for example, gruyerè or comté. Use the potatoes while still in the oven so that the cheese melts, then season the potatoes with chopped fresh herbs.

Mashed potatoes + browned butter

Browned butter and potato are a great combination. Season mashed potatoes or mashed potatoes with browned butter and enjoy.

With browned butter with a toasty, caramel and slightly nutty taste, you can also enjoy frozen puree on a busy day.

Here’s how to make browned butter:

Put the butter in small pieces in a large saucepan and let it heat up. When the butter starts to bubble, stir it lightly so that the butter browns evenly. When the smell starts to resemble a nutty nut, it can simmer a bit. This is a sign that the butter is ready.

Potato wedges + roasted garlic

Potatoes seasoned with garlic are a classic. A great side dish is easily created when you cook the potatoes with crushed garlic cloves in the oven until they are almost cooked.

Take the tray out of the oven, lightly mash the potatoes with a fork and sprinkle olive oil on top. Season with salt and pepper and crisp the treat while still in the oven.

This is how you peel potatoes easily.
