At residential care centers that are under increased supervision, the Care Inspectorate identified deficiencies, such as a shortage of medication, no 24/24 availability, care instructions not carried out, understaffing, poor medication safety, poor hand hygiene, etc. They received a reminder and must then draw up a step-by-step plan to comply. In the meantime, they receive extra checks, at least twice a year.
