Three police officers were injured in the confrontation between supporters of FC Emmen and FC Volendam, NOS reports. The police confirm that three officers were assaulted after the football match in Volendam.
One suspect has been arrested. According to NOS the police officers would have been mistreated by supporters of FC Emmen.
The police cannot yet say exactly what happened. In Volendam, things got out of hand between the fans of both clubs last night after FC Emmen’s lost match. The supporters got into fistfights and threw bicycles at each other, as can be seen on images circulating on social media.
