On the border of the Rostov region and the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics, three journalists were detained who worked in the border zone without the permission of the FSB, informs RBC Rostov, citing one of the detainees and a source in law enforcement agencies.

We are talking about Znak.com employee Ignat Bakin, photographer of the Notebook-Rostov publication Alexander Prokhortsev and freelancer Gleb Golod. Znak.com confirmed their detention. In a publication statement saidthat their journalist Bakin went to the border zone on the instructions of the editorial office. “Journalists did not cross the border with Ukraine, they worked on the territory of Russia. There were no special signs stating that they enter the zone where you can work only with passes, ”the editorial office said.

According to the publication, the border guards interrogated Bakin for an hour, asked questions about the work of the Znak.com editorial office, his career and personal life.

Information about the beating of a journalist by policemen will be checked in Krasnodar

Portal 161.ru clarifiesthat the detention took place without the use of force in the border village of Kuibyshevo (located near the border with the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic). Gleb Golod told the publication that the journalists really did not have passes to the border zone.
