In Roeselare you could not pass a intersection on Sunday or there was a police deposit. That had everything to do with two stabs around noon and a third in the late evening. All three victims died on the spot. According to sources it is possible the same perpetrator.

The first victim is a 45-year-old man. He was stabbed to death on the street, close to a beauty salon along the small road. The square and the surrounding streets were concluded with police ribbons. Large blood stains that were clearly visible on the street and a nearby bus shelter were examined by the police. The garbage bowl, in addition, was even turned inside out. Traces were also extensively searched for in and around the beauty salon. The body was in the driveway of the salon, the fire brigade placed a tent to withdraw from view.

Moments later it turned out that a 43-year-old woman was also stabbed to death, a little further in a house at the Mayboomlaan and Westlaan. The police stood there all afternoon.

The first two murders took place within the Afghan environment, the public prosecutor reports Sunday evening. “In the interest of the investigation, there is currently no further communication,” it says in a statement. According to information from Het Nieuwsblad, the stabs would have taken place within the family and relational atmosphere.

Third victim

In the late evening, a third victim could be regretted along the Hoogleedenesteenweg, also in Roeselare. Unlike the previous victims, this is a 67-year-old Flemish man. According to him, the perpetrator would have rang the bell and immediately removed with a sharp object.

The man didn’t stand a chance and died on the spot. Based on camera images in the area, it is possible the same perpetrator. The first findings show that the suspect and the third victim used to be neighbors. There is no further clarity about the motive.
