Three color trends from Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week not only showcased the hottest styles for spring/summer 2023, but also the colors that will be hot this season. It could be seen that the Italian summer with nude tones and celadon green, as with Gucci and Max Mara, is becoming a little more reserved. But there were also some bright pops of color, like a bright blue blazer at Alberta Ferretti.

Light Blue

Alberta Ferretti showed off a look of blue silk blazer styled over a chiffon blouse and paired with a bright orange skirt.

At Ports 61, Karl Templer deconstructed looks and reassembled them with a new twist. One of the looks consisted of green and light blue knit pants under a navy blue tunic with blue sleeves. A green vest was sewn asymmetrically to the front.

celadon green

Numerous shades of celadon green graced the runways. Celadon green is known from ceramics, where it is particularly common as a delicate green in Chinese stoneware and has a gray-green shade.

At Fendi, Kim Jones collaborated with Silvia Venturini Fendi on the S/S23 collection. They paired piqué pants with a leather top embellished with a floral print. Model Eléonore Ghiuritan wore a gleaming white handbag and cleated shoes in a matching shade of green.

At Gucci, Alessandro Michele presented his collection twice with 68 pairs of twins. A fitted top with a cheongsam closure in celadon green with a violet hem was shown. A silk skirt in pink with orange embroidery with a Chinese motif was combined with this. The twin models also wore long gloves with a zebra pattern and stockings with an animal pattern. Her slippers were beaded.

Like Gucci, Etro sported a Chinese-inspired embroidered motif on a pair of celadon green shorts teamed with a short-sleeved polo shirt in the same colour.

nude tones

At Ermanno Scervino, Ermanno Daelli experimented with imitation leather. The fabric has been used to create a double breasted blazer paired with soft flared pants, both in a nude shade. A bralette, bucket hat and bag, all in pink, completed the outfit.

At Andreadamo, Andrea Adamo was inspired by the beach and the sea. As such, one of the looks was styled like a wetsuit, with the top half folded at the waist and worn over pants. This look was shown in a light nude shade paired with a bright orange knitted top.
