Patrice Aminati shares a less positive health update regarding a new cancer therapy.

On July 14, Patrice Aminati took to her Instagram story to inform followers of her ongoing treatment at the University Hospital in Dresden. Surprisingly, the primary purpose of her video was to address the numerous messages she received about a new therapy gaining attention among her followers.

She expressed gratitude to her fans for sharing a video related to a promising new treatment conducted in Dresden. However, she soon delivered the disappointing news that she had been evaluated for this therapy and unfortunately did not qualify for it. “The therapy is unfortunately not applicable to me,” she stated, citing her HLA type as the reason.

Understanding HLA Type

HLA stands for Human Leukocyte Antigen, which are unique tissue markers present on the surface of body cells. These markers play a critical role in the immune system by helping the body identify foreign substances.

“My genetic body cell structure unfortunately does not respond to this therapy. But for those who are HLA positive, this is a significant advancement and can really benefit them. Unfortunately, I’m not one of them.”

Exploring the New Cancer Therapy in Dresden

The experimental treatment discussed by Aminati involves a cutting-edge cellular and genetic therapy currently under research at the University Hospital in Dresden. This therapy focuses on altering the patient’s own immune cells in the lab, enabling them to specifically recognize tumor characteristics and effectively target cancer cells.

Despite its potential, this form of therapy is still in its early research stages, with approximately 30 to 40 new patients with advanced tumors participating in the study each year. The hope is that, as research progresses, more patients will gain access to this innovative treatment.
