Are you also looking forward to Christmas? Logically! If you want to get in the mood, you will definitely want to visit the Christmas show De Driesprong garden centre in Zoetermeer. People come from far and wide to visit the Christmas show. Here shopping is made extra fun and special.

Prepare for lots of illuminated Christmas trees, glittering elements and beautiful winter scenes. It will become part of it from the end of August the store closed to put on this show. This year the theme is ‘It’s a fantasy world‘. That promises to be a magical experience. Take a look below!

We worked hard on the show

The show can be seen until December 31. Nice to know: more than 60 people worked on the Christmas show. Samantha works at the garden center and says: “We have worked very hard on the show again this year. A lot of hours went into this, about 4,000. We are proud of the result. Visitors are amazed by this fairytale world.”

The show can be visited in all its glory until the first week of January, but the sale starts after Christmas!

This is visible

From a forest full of artificial trees to nutcrackers and from Christmas baubles to Christmas villages: there is really a lot to see at this big show. Samantha: “We built, among other things, a beautiful village with a starry sky. There you will see the most beautiful ski slopes, skating rinks, the eleven cities and even celebrities from the Efteling! It could hardly be more fairytale-like.

What the route at the Driesprong The darkened ceilings add extra atmosphere. “That creates a nice atmosphere,” says Samantha. “This allows you to see the lights even better and really makes you feel like you are in the magical world of Christmas.”

The trends

Of course you can also bring the trends into your home this year. “We have a forest full of artificial trees. These trees are almost indistinguishable from a real tree. In addition to the traditional tree shapes, you now see more ‘slim-trees‘. These trees need less space.” An artificial tree is not only beautiful to look at, it is also very sustainable.

For the do it yourselfThe center has plenty to offer to enthusiasts. Samantha: “There is a lot to do again this year. There is plenty to find among all the ribbons, craft materials and other decorations.”

That makes your Christmas tree unique

You may have already seen a few things on Instagram: the Christmas tree is getting an increasingly personal touch with luxurious ornaments that refer to a hobby, a favorite dish or drink. “You can also find those ‘Christmas baubles’ in the store. You can also make an ornament, so that makes the Christmas tree really unique,” ​​explains Samantha.

The well-known, familiar colors and items also remain popular. Consider, for example, the Nutcrackers. “You now often see luxurious combinations, such as copper with white or black with gold. But of course the classics such as red and gold also remain beautiful.”

Slightly different

You can already see and read it: there is something for everyone at the garden center. The range of the Christmas show is carefully selected. “The items are chosen from international fairs and suppliers. We have been working on this since February. Thanks to our experience and knowledge, we know exactly what appeals to our visitors. We are aware of the trends early on. That makes our Christmas stuff really unique.”
