Thomas Tuchel breaks his silence after Chelsea’s exit

Thomas Tuchel spoke for the first time after his dismissal at Chelsea.

In his first post on the Twitter short message service since April 22, 2000, the former BVB coach said goodbye to the Premier League club in emotional words.

“This is one of the most difficult statements I’ve ever had to write – and I hoped I wouldn’t have to do it for many years. I’m devastated that my time at Chelsea is over,” said Tuchel on Wednesday surprisingly had to resign after the 1-0 disgrace against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

“Pride and joy” about CL triumph and club world title

“This is a club where I feel at home both professionally and personally. Thank you to all the staff, the players and the fans who made me feel welcome from the start,” wrote the 49- years further.

In the statement, Tuchel also referred to the numerous successes he has celebrated with Chelsea in recent months: “The pride and joy I felt when I helped the team win the Champions League and the Club World Cup, will always be remembered. I am honored to have been a part of the history of this club and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart.”

Thomas Tuchel’s successor has already been determined

At Chelsea, Tuchel probably stumbled over personal differences with the new owner Todd Boehly.

Among other things, the American is said to have favored a commitment from Cristiano Ronaldo before the season. Tuchel rejected this for sporting reasons.

His successor on the Blues coaching bench has already been determined. New Chelsea hope is Graham Potter, who previously coached league rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.

Big names like Zinedine Zidane and Mauricio Pochettino had previously traded in London.
