Club icon Thomas Müller has not played for FC Bayern for six months. However, he continues to follow events surrounding the record champions meticulously.
Thomas Müller continues to follow FC Bayern Munich’s games closely even after his departure – despite the time difference in the MLS. The 36-year-old believes his former club can achieve a lot this season.
“I trust them to get to the Champions League final,” Müller told “Bild” during a visit to Munich. The long-time Bayern professional left the German record champions last summer after around 20 years and moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American professional league MLS.
Even from Canada, Müller stays tuned: he watches his former club’s games as often as possible. And what he sees convinces him. “It’s not just spectacular, but it’s always there. The team is always aggressive, greedy. You can feel how they work together, you can also feel them coming back in the moments when you’re behind. And that makes you want to watch,” said the 2014 world champion.
