April does what he wants. From summer temperatures to a snow shower: it’s all possible this month. What can we expect from the weather in Zoetermeer? Meteorologist Jaco van Wezel van WEATHER Online Looks forward: “The first half of April is getting drier and sunny than normal.”

April is on average the driest month of the year, Jaco explains. “Maintaining the dry weather increases the risk of natural fires.” You can not only expect drought and sun, the temperature will also be higher than normal in April.
It will be between 15 and 20 degrees in the first half of the month, Jaco expects. Normally it is approximately 11 degrees. Jaco gives a disclaimer: “After a few days, the expectation will be very insecure and the calculations vary from cold to warm.”
Stay outside or inside?
On to the second half of April. Jaco: “Then a very normal is expected again. There is a little more often and there are some more clouds, but even now dry weather always has the upper hand.” And the temperature? “At the end of April, 14 to 18 degrees is common.”
Jaco can now still be difficult to say how Easter and King’s Day proceed. Yet he is positive: “With those temperatures, the weather is nice quickly. The overall trend for the second half of April is quite favorable for outdoor activities.”
Pollen season
Anyone who suffers from hay fever will probably notice that in the coming month. The birch pollen season starts and later in April the birches are in bloom. Jaco: “The first types of grass will also flourish.” Hopefully it is not too bad with the itching and sniffing and you can still enjoy spring.
