Historic Market
There are various stalls on the Market with items such as swords, skins, fantasy books, glassware and more. The Historical Society Oud Soetermeer has a tent with a photo exhibition about 60 years of Zoetermeer as a growth city. Old photos of ten Zoetermeer neighborhoods can be seen. Very nice!
There is also a book market with historical books for one euro per kilo. Portrait artist Madam Silhouette cuts out silhouettes and head nurse Eva and Sister Mila talk about their work in healthcare during the 1940s and 1950s. You can also learn more about eating tulip bulbs in the Hunger Winter and about Monday Washing Day.
