Pentinkulma, located in Urjala, has been chosen as the Break Place of the Year in 2025, according to the announcement of Tilausajotutsikat ry.
Chairman of the association Reijo Laaksonen according to Pentinkulma received the overwhelming majority of proposals, many proposals came from different parts of Finland. The basis for winning was, among other things, good parking facilities, environment and menu, as well as services for travelers as well as drivers and tour guides.
– I had already heard from the field that Pentinkulma has been renewed and is a good place to take a break, Laaksonen says in the press release.
Pentinkulma in Urjala underwent a major renovation last summer. managing director Jani Tuominen is surprised and proud of the recognition that came after only half a year of operation.
– It feels especially good to receive such recognition from a complete outsider. We only opened the renovated place in July, but we have quickly brought the operation to a level that even professionals who have seen many different places appreciate, Tuominen is happy in the press release.
CEO of Ståhlberg Yhtiöt Oy, which is responsible for restaurant operations in Pentinkulma Jani Mettinen states in the announcement that once the operation was learned, it was soon possible to react well to spikes in the number of diners, among other things.
Ståhlberg Pentikulma already had success last fall, when its lunch was rated as the 12th best in Finland in Edenred’s national vote. According to Mettinen, the supply and menus are constantly renewed, listening to the wishes of the customers.
– All feedback is welcome, both thanks and suggestions for development.
Pentinkulma in Urjala is located along highway 9, and it offers lunch and ála carte food every day.
The recipient of the recognition was chosen in a member vote for the 27th time. The break place of the year has been chosen since 1992. The selection is currently made every two years. The awarded breaks are listed on the association’s website.
The Tilausajajotsätsät ry is a national association of bus drivers and professionals working in charter transport, which includes more than 1,000 members. The members of the association can propose the Finnish break place they think is the best as the recipient of recognition.
