In Iltalehti’s laskais bun test, 16 store laskais buns were evaluated. Jam and almond buns are evaluated separately in the story.
The fall season has arrived with a bang again. The cold counters of the shops have been filled with the laskias bun versions of many bakeries.
Three bakery professionals tasted 16 jam and almond buns. There were both highlights and disappointments. Korean appearance is not always a guarantee of delicious taste.
One bakery is the overwhelming winner. The bakery Sorttiina located in Nokia was in the top places in both jam and almond buns.
There really is plenty to choose from in laskiaisbulli. Kaisa Vehkalahti
Kämpi’s chef de cuisine evaluates the buns in the test panel Clarence Lozanatraining center Salpaus food industry lecturer Katariina Ilonen and St. George’s pastry chef and baker Rosa Tuomi.
The buns were tasted as a blind tasting, so the testers did not know the brand of the buns. Grades were given in school grades from four to ten.
The buns were bought from Jumbo’s K-citymarket and Prisma. It’s good to remember that prices vary depending on where you buy laskias buns.
All test bottles were sold in a package of two bottles. The mentioned price is therefore for two buns.
