This is how much you will pay in municipal taxes in Zoetermeer in 2024

Municipalities expect to receive a total of 13.3 billion euros from levies this year. That is an increase of 8.5 percent compared to last year and the largest increase since 2007. This is reported the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

Municipal taxes in Zoetermeer

The municipality of Zoetermeer expects to collect an amount of 82.5 million euros from municipal levies in 2024. That is a development of 11 percent compared to 2023. At that time, Zoetermeer budgeted 74.3 million euros in levy revenues.

The property tax (ozb), the waste levy, the sewerage levy and the costs for paid parking are the four levies that yield the most. In 2024, these taxes will account for 85 percent of all budgeted income of municipalities. These levies are increasing mainly because municipalities are increasing rates. Municipalities also receive money through tourist tax, construction fees and the solemnization of weddings, among other things.

Highest amount of taxes

In Zoetermeer, the municipality receives the highest amount of tax from property tax. That amount is 42.9 million euros. Last year that amount was 38.2 million euros. These are the expected other income:
