Till Lindemann’s father Werner Lindemann (1926-1993) was a poet, writer and well-known author of children’s books in the GDR. Lindemann dedicated his first volume of poetry, Messer, which was published in 2002, to his father. Lindemann’s mother Brigitte Lindemann, called “Gitta”, is a journalist. From 1992 she worked for ten years as head of culture at NDR 1 Radio MV. Lindemann has a younger sister named Saskia Lindemann.

It is known that Till Lindemann has a daughter named Nele Lindemann. She was born in 1985 (the singer was then 22 years old). She works in theater and is the singer of a dubstep project called Lindemann DubZ. On your YouTube page Nele also links her father’s YouTube page with the caption “Daddy”. Nele Lindemann studied theater and literature at the Free University of Berlin and already worked with the German author Sibylle Berg as a student. She worked at the Karlsruhe State Theater as a consultant to the drama director and was also active there as dramaturge. She made her directorial debut with In the Gardens or Lysistrata 2. According to “Bunte”, the mother is said to be Lindemann’s alleged ex-wife Marieke Lindemann.

Nele gave birth to a son named Fritz in 2008 — so Till Lindemann is already a grandfather and the grandson is already a teenager.

He said that he is often drawn to his family in the country: “Everything good in my head comes from the country. I have an apartment in Berlin, but sometimes Berlin pulls me down. So I live a lot in my village, upstairs, between Schwerin and Wismar. Many of my friends who tour with us here also live there. My father is long dead. But my mother lives there. My daughter Nele with her son, little Fritz, is often there. We are a big family.”
