Are you active in the field of foreign trade and development cooperation? Minister Schreinemacher is currently drawing up policy for the coming years. Interested parties are cordially invited to share ideas and knowledge. For example, in which area can development cooperation be more innovative?

‘The way in which aid and trade can reinforce each other will be one of the central connecting themes in the BHOS memorandum,’ says Liesje Schreinemacher, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation (BHOS). In the new policy memorandum, Minister Schreinemacher sets out the main points of the policy on the basis of: the priorities of the Rutte IV coalition agreement† It also takes current developments into account, such as the war in Ukraine and the aid needed for refugees.

Conversation with different target groups

The aim is to send the BHOS memorandum to parliament before the 2022 summer recess. The minister is currently seeking advice; this is an important source of information in the preparation of this note. For example, the minister enters into discussions with various target groups, stakeholders and experts from the Netherlands and abroad.
