Thierry Henry takes over France’s U21s – also at the 2024 Olympics

Most recently assistant in Belgium

Thierry Henry is taking on a new role two and a half years after his last position as head coach. The 46-year-old joins the France U21 national team, which only reached the quarter-finals at the European Championships last summer. The former striker has signed a contract until 2025.

As a senior manager, Henry most recently worked at Montreal Impact (now CF Montréal) from 2019-2021 and before that at AS Monaco (2018-2019). After his time in the MLS, he looked after the Belgian national team as an assistant coach, including at the 2022 World Cup. With “Les Bleuets”, Henry will not only qualify for the 2025 European Championships but also compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
