They investigate whether a child caused the fire in a bazaar in Castellón that forced the eviction of a farm

The civil Guard investigates if a child could be behind the grave fire which originated on Monday in a Chinese bazaar from the beach of La Concha de Orpesa (Castellón) and that forced the eviction of residents of a 14-storey building. As Mediterranean has been able to know, there are some images of security cameras of the trade in which it is seen as a teenager repeatedly sets fire to several bookshelves until the flames start to get out of control. At that time, the subject leaves the field of view.

This valuable proofwhich is real as confirmed by the Benemérita to this newspaper, is being examined in depth by agents of the armed institute and is part of the police investigation.

For now it is unknown if the minor in question is already identified. The age of the same is not known either and this information is extremely relevant since children under 14 years of age are not liable. That is, even if they commit a criminal act, according to article 3 of Law 5/2000 regulating the criminal responsibility of minors, when the perpetrator of an alleged crime is under 14 years of age, that responsibility will not be required. The Civil Code will apply, that is, civil liability for the author’s parents.
