Patrik Laine played only five NHL regular season games this season. However, the man’s employer, the Montreal Canadiens, played a good season and always reached the finals of the Eastern Conference, i.e. among the top four in the NHL.

Laine’s fall season was interrupted by mid-October setbacks, when he was sidelined from the Canadiens’ playing lineup and then underwent surgery due to a muscle injury.
Laine stated to the Montreal media on Monday that he would have been able to play fairly soon after the turn of the year, but he was not blessed with playing time during the entire spring.
