Our elites underestimated Putin
On November 10, 2021, in Washington, the US and Ukraine signed a joint “Charter of Strategic Partnership”. A few weeks later, so many Russian troops gathered on the border with Ukraine that military action was an obvious choice. Not the war that broke out a few weeks ago, but, so many assumed (including me), the confirmation of the return of the breakaway eastern provinces to the Russian womb.
