It will happen to you; If you live in a beautiful house on the edge of Hardinxveld-Giessendam, you will soon have a 32 meter wide canal right next to your home. It happens to Wim and Ellen van der Lee. They have been in conflict with the water board for years and as time goes on, confidence in a successful outcome has decreased. But the canal must be built, because climate change means that water has to be pumped out more and more often.
