We can now conclude it all: Johnny de Mol as a talk show host is not a success. After six weeks the Oranjezomer, Thomas van Groningen is now in place, and: “No mosquito who misses him!”
It is also very sad somewhere for Johnny de Mol. It is now obvious that he really wants to be talk show host because he doesn’t give up, but how many signals from viewers and critics needs his father John de Mol to protect his son against himself? He just wasn’t put in the cradle for this, according to TV critics.
No Johnny!
Thomas van Groningen is now working as a talk show host for two evenings and there is really no one who is talking about Johnny anymore. “It was nice that they scanded Thomas’ name. They could just as well have chanted:” Hey,, not Johnny, “because it came down to me a bit,” says media journalist Gudo Tienhooven.
He continues in the AD Media Podcast: “Yes, Thomas is a relief compared to Johnny alone. Yes, I miss Hélène, but I think he is doing well, though. He also has the right tone, I think.”
Speed
Angela de Jong is also quite enthusiastic. “He also has the speed. And what I find very pleasant is that he just has a certain basic knowledge. Even if you don’t like cycling, like he: he could still correct Ben van der Burg at some point when he used a wrong name and still ask journalistic questions about it.”
“You don’t have to be a fan of everything either. You don’t have to follow everything down to the foot and in detail, but just do your journalistic duty, that is a lot nowadays. And I am happy that that is happening now.”
Mood maker
Media journalist Marcus den Blanken used to find Johnny an atmosphere maker, but: “No more in the last few weeks. Yes, he was very hard to endure. And yes, it is very easy to always be pointed to Angela, but of course Johan Derksen also said it downright.”
Johan has threw Johnny hard. “And well, the Oranjezomer is a bit of the little brother of today inside, and if dad says:” Hey, I don’t think it’s right, “then that is extra painful.”
No mosquito
Gudo thinks we shouldn’t talk about Johnny anymore. “But dude, there is no mosquito that Johnny de Mol misses now as a presenter of the Oranjezomer?”
Marcus: “No, I don’t think so.”
Angela: “No, and I also don’t think he brought atmosphere or something. I thought it was really tense how he often made forced bridges.”
Smells
Those bridges cause an incredible amount of irritation at Angela. “One of the last few weeks it was also:” Oh, what kind of smell do you have on Dave? ” He was at the bar and then it was supposedly, “Yes, those wind machines blow it towards me.” And that was a prelude to Trump’s smell … “
“I really thought: what am I watching? Kleutertje Listen? It’s just an insult to the viewer, things like that. Come on …”, she concludes.
